Description:
The ERL SUPERDECK II system takes an ordinary GM LS engine and creates a 500 Cubic Inch, 8.2 liter monster.  A 4.200” bore and 4.500” stroke are obtained through the use of ductile iron sleeves, an aluminum deck plate, and extremely precise CNC machining. ERL SUPERDECK II 500CI has proven to be an extremely reliable large displacement, large stroke engine by simply following good engine design principals.

Description: The ERL SUPERDECK I system takes an ordinary GM LS block and creates a rock solid platform for forced induction and nitrous engines. The truss design of the ERL SUPERDECK I adds unmatched strength and stability to the bock and deck surface. The truss design (shown in the pictures above) involves connecting each pair of head bolts through an aluminum truss. This truss allows the load to be shared across the deck surface minimizing deck deflection. This allows a thinner deck section to outperform the much thicker decks. The SUPERDECK I system also allows for larger bores than dry sleeves. The ERL SUPERDECK I is available as a 443CI engine with a 4.200” bore and 4.000” stroke. The sleeve has a 25% greater wall thickness at a 4.200” bore than the others have with a 4.125” bore.

Description:
The ERL Dry Sleeve system is designed as an economical way to achieve bores between 3.897” and 4.125”.  The dry sleeve system replaces the stock cast iron sleeves with high strength ductile iron sleeves. These sleeves are made of ductile iron that is 3 times stronger than cast iron.  This design ensures good sleeve stability as well as water jacket seal.  These sleeves are machined and installed at ERL using high precision CNC machines.  The sleeves are installed in the block with a press fit to ensure proper location.

Description: The ERL SUPERDECK I 6 bolt takes our SUPERDECK I 4 bolt system to the next level for extreme applications. The addition of two head bolt bosses per cylinder creates a block that is specifically designed to handle extremely high boost or nitrous. Description: The new ERL Performance GM LS MAIN GIRDLE provides the necessary strength and rigidity for high horsepower LS series motors. The high strength Aluminum 6061 girdle is precision waterjet from sheet and CNC finish machined. Our girdle, forming a truss connecting all 5 journals and the sides of the block, will more than double the strength. This CNC girdle fits all LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6 blocks with stock main caps and fits ERL blocks with Billet main caps. The girdle is provided with oil pan bolts. ARP main stud kit is required and is offered as an option.

*When installing new main studs, ERL recommends align honing the block.
